Digs and Chicks
It’s been a while. I haven’t had time to take a breath much less blog. Building a house is time consuming y'all! Slowly but surely we are getting there though! Having two kids takes up a little time too. No complaints from me though! Anna Kate and Em are shooting up like little flowers. Anna Kate is such a little helper and Emmalee has started walking. (Lock up all of your cabinets!)

We have had many adventures since I blogged last. Easter came and went. The girls were beautiful in their white dresses. Anna Kate has been in 2 weddings (momma was too  - one singing and one serving the bride haha) and we’ve celebrated many birthdays. Here's a few shots from the past few months...
Have you missed these sweet faces or what?

Fun Day over...
Now we are winding down the house building process – 2 weeks hopefully! We are also preparing for Anna Kate’s 3rd birthday. 3 years…really? Some days I feel like that sweet little monkey was just born yesterday and others she acts like she’s a 13 year old giving me gray hairs! Gray hairs aside, I am so thankful for this sweet girl.
Anna Kate,
You make every day fun and bright. Like I told you yesterday, I didn’t think that I would be able to love you more than I did the day you were born. I was wrong. As you grow and change my love multiplies. You are becoming a kind and caring little lady. You are a wonderful big sister and Emmalee adores you. I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for you. I love you sweet girl (a million times a million).

Love,
Momma

Daddy's Girls

Don't get me wrong, I know my babies love me. Heck, I'm still the major food source for one of them. While all of the above is true, it is very apparent that  my girls LOVE their Daddy. Anna Kate has started looking more like me as she has gotten older, but to begin with she was his little twin. Emmalee, I don't have a leg to stand on in the looks department. The older that they both get the more that they want to be with Daddy. Anna Kate is in that "I want to help, I can do it myself" phase. She helps her daddy clean up the house (how lucky am I?) and helps him cook supper. I sure am thankful that I have two sweet girls who love their daddy and that they have a daddy that loves them to pieces!

Don't they look just alike
Just cause it was cute...
Doesn't eveyone like marshmallow fluff?
Hope they stay this sweet!
Wouldn't you know it, Emmalee said her first word and guess what it was...?

Elena I forgot to post this video a while back, it's a special message to A-Master!
Pay no attention to the shirt, she was dressed that way when I got home from work.

House update:

Most of the siding is up on the house. We decided to put metal on the roof of our porch, they finished installing it. The harth for the fireplace is complete. Also, the sheet rock is hung and about half of that is finished. The builders took a couple weeks off and will resume work I believe next week. Hopefully only one more month!
Siding started
This side complete
All of the electrical is roughed in
I am in love with my front door. Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished!

Kitchen was the first room to get sheet rock

Getting Closer

The above title could be used to describe a couple of things in my life. My house and my girls. We'll start off with my girls.

When we found out that we were having another girl I thought to myself, "Please Lord let them love each other". I don't know if it's going to stay this way (especially through teenage years), but my girls love each other very much. Emmalee is constantly astonished by her big sister. When we hold her hands and she stands she seems so proud of herself and starts looking for AK to see if she is watching. Anna Kate loves the fact that she has a captive audience. Her only complaint is that Em doesn't clap for her. I know it's still early in their lives, but I hope that this is an early projection of how much these little girls love each other.

Take a look at our last couple of weeks:

Hanging out on our new front porch (something that I hope we do a lot of )

Pulling up and standing alone for the first time!

I think they love each other!

Now for the house. We have a roof! The guys finished decking, felting, and putting the metal on yesterday. It took a little longer than I had hoped, but we're there! We have windows, our fireplace, and a clawfoot bathtub. Very random things all put together, but they're things that are complete and that I am proud of!
The heating and air people are installing today. Kyle and his dad are wiring the house today. The plumbing is being started today I think. It's crazy fast and I'm so excited and thankful! Soon (as in the next couple of weeks) we will be making decisions on cabinets. A-master get ready!
Windows, windows, windows!
Pops and Kyle got all of the stuff for the light fixtures installed.
